Durga Temple Aihole
Aihole is considered to be the city with the most beautiful Hindu rock architecture owing to its temples. This place is also an important mythological place for Lord Parasuram washed his axe at this site after killing the Kshatriyas. This onument was built during the 7th to 8th century by the dynasty of Chalukya. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Vishnu. It is known as Durga temple as the fortress means Durg.
