The Albert Hall Museum, located in Jaipur, Rajasthan, is the oldest museum in the state. The museum was also named after the Victoria Albert Museum of London since the architectural styles of both buildings are similar.
The museum was initially used as a town hall in 1880. Later, the then king of Jaipur, Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II, suggested that the place be used for housing the masterpieces of local artists. It was only later that the museum started showcasing artefacts and ancient artworks.

The museum is open all seasons. But winter is considered the best season to visit the museum owing to the climate. The museum is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on all days other than Holi and local holidays.
