Mumbai – (enroute optional visit to Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Nashik)– Shirdi
After early breakfast drive to Shirdi. Now, if you wish, you could visit Nashik (A holy town. A clean and provincial city with a strong connection to the Indian epic Ramayana. It is believed that Lord Rama had spent some time during his exile in this sacred destination.
Visit Kumbh Mela, the largest religious gathering on this planet happens every 12 years in Nashik). The Security Printing Press of the Government printing the nation’s currency is located in Nashik.
Visit28 km from Nashik city, one of the 12 Jyotirlinga Temples in India, Trimbakeshwar Temple is located in Trimbak town. The origin of the longest river, the Godavari in India is near this town. Kusarvarta is a sacred pond in the temple and its source is the Godavari River. Anyone who comes to Trimbakeshwar attains salvation according to Hindu Mythology.
VisitDepending on time availability, pay a visit to Kalaram (Black Rama) Mandir in Nashik. You’ll be taken back to Shirdi for a peaceful sleep. Overnight stay in Shirdi.
Note : If you want to spend more time in Shirdi, you can skip the sightseeing of Nashik/Trimbakeshwar and drive straight to Shirdi to visit the Sai Baba temple.
Shirdi - Shani Shingnapur - Shirdi
You’ll wake up the aura of divinity. The Land of Sai, a sacred place for those who believe in humanity and “God is one” ideology. Concrete evidence of love for all human beings regardless of caste, creed and the color is experienced in the most hospitable holy grounds of India. Open throughout the year from 4 AM to 10 PM.
Visit the Sai Baba Temple where the Samadhi of Sai Baba is lying. After the sacred grounds of Tirumala, the most visited pilgrim places in India is Shirdi. You’ll get a couple of minutes to receive blessings from the Sai Baba Darshan. Those who want to skip the queue can book the ticket online.
Visit Gurusthan, the place was Sai Baba was first spotted under a Neem Tree.
Pay a visit to Dwarakamayi where Baba had lived for more than 60 years. The Dhuni (fire) he had lit years ago is still glowing bright. You have other things to see such as the water pot, grinding stone, and a Baba’s resting stone which he used to sit.
Chavadi near Dwarakamayi is the place where Baba had slept on alternate days. If it is a Thursday night, you’ll see Baba’s footprints being taken in a ritualistic procession to Chavadi from Dwarakamayi.
After taking darshan at Shirdi Sai Mandir, pay a visit to Shani Shingnapur, a nearby village with houses having no doors. A 5.5 feet Shani Mahadev (planet Saturn) idol is made in black stone. According to Hindu Mythology, he is a Swayambhu (originated himself in the form of black stone). After darshan (blessings) at Shani Shingnapur, back to Shirdi. Overnight stay in Shirdi.
Shirdi – drive back to Mumbai
Wake up and tell your innermost worries and pray to Sai Baba for prosperity and happiness. Later, you’ll be taken back to Mumbai. Now, you can relax in the allotted hotel and if time permits, go for shopping. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Mumbai – excursion to Elephanta Caves & City Tour
Wake up, refresh, and visit the ancient rock-cut temples on Elephanta Island, A UNESCO Heritage Site. The Elephanta Caves are located in Western India on the Island of Gharapuri with a rich archaeological past. Speaking about the start of occupations, the Rock-cut Elephanta Caves is believed to be constructed between mid of 5th and 6th century. (The caves are closed on Mondays).
After spending some time at Elephanta island, come back to Mumbai city.
Visit Gateway of India with the Indo - Saracenic style arch with a blend of Gujarati and Islamic architecture. This striking monument was created to celebrate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India in 1911.Visit Victoria terminus built by the British in 1888.
Visit Mani Bhawan, the museum where Mahatma Gandhi had stayed during his visits to Mumbai. You can see his simple assets in his room - “Books”.
Visit Hanging Gardens or Ferozeshah Gardens at Malabar Hills in Mumbai. Admire the beauty of plants sculpted in animal shapes.
Visit Prince of Wales Museum built in Victorian architecture. It was created to honour the visit of Prince of Wales, King George V to Mumbai. Contains India's noteworthy treasures, paintings, artefacts, and sculptures of many periods including the Indus Valley Civilization. (The museum is closed on Mondays).
Visit Dhobi Ghat, an open-air Laundromat in Mumbai. The Dhobi’s work in the open and wash the clothes from Mumbai hotels and hospitals.
Visit Marine Drive and relax on the beach before watching the beautiful Sunset. Marine Drive is known as the “Queen’s Necklace” due to the arrangement of the street lamps. This beautiful path is adorned by the public in the evening as a form of relaxation. Later, reach your hotel and have a peaceful sleep. Overnight stay in Mumbai.
Mumbai – morning transfer to airport – Departure
Today morning you’ll be met and transferred to Mumbai airport. With all the blessings and beautiful memories of Mumbai, head back home to spread stories about the happy shades of India. We wish to see you, again with the same or another set of itineraries.
