Discover the "Pride of Karnataka" on a 5-night / 6-day journey that reveals its vast cultural, historical, and scenic richness. It starts in Bengaluru, proceeds to the temple town of Nanjangud, then through the royal city of Mysore, and finally through the marvels of architectural heritage in Halebidu. Experience the lush beauty of Chikmagalur's coffee plantations, the ancient splendour of Hospet near Hampi, and in Goa - the charming churches of North Goa, and end off the experience with a gala dinner in scenic South Goa before returning to Bengaluru with memories of Karnataka's finest treasures.
The trip will commence with registration and check-in from Yashwantpur Railway Station at 08:30 hrs. Subsequent morning departure from Yashwantpur at 09:45 hrs will take guests to Nanjangud. On the way to Nanjangud, enjoy lunch on board, and the guests reach their destination by 13:30 hrs. The scenic drive leads to Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary. Guests enjoy an exciting evening safari from 16:30 - 18:30 hrs. An adventurous day sees guests return to the train by 20:15 hrs. Relish a delightful dinner onboard as the train departs for Mysore, where you’ll enjoy an overnight stay in the comfort of your cabin.
Post-breakfast on board, the entire morning is spent at the magnificent Mysore Palace. The guest boards the train for lunch and then departs for an optional excursion to the historic Srirangapatnam. As the evening sets in, guests have dinner on board, and the train departs for Banavar at 20:00 hrs for refuelling and watering.
The day starts with breakfast onboard, as they disembark at Banavar Railway Station to tour the intricate carvings of the ancient temple complex in Halebidu. They then indulge in lunch on board before driving to Chikamgaluru. They proceed to a local coffee plantation, enjoy the aroma of rich coffee, and engage in cultural activities. They dine amidst views of the surroundings, and then return to the train and continue to Hospet.
Guests spend the morning exploring the famous and historic ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site for its beautiful ruins and history. Then, they board the train to enjoy lunch and a free evening. Dinner is served as the train makes its way overnight to Goa.
The train reaches Karmali Station, where, after breakfast, the guests are taken out for a half-day excursion to all the iconic churches of North Goa from 09:00 to 12:00 hrs. Guests return to the train for lunch as it chugs along to Madgaon. In the evening, there awaits a gala dinner at one of the hotels in South Goa to indulge in complete luxury and celebration. After the event, the train leaves for Bengaluru at 22:30 hrs.
The tour winds up with breakfast on board as it arrives at the Yashwantpur Railway Station in Bengaluru. The guests deboard here from the stations.
