After breakfast served onboard, you can disembark the train for a stroll along the Godhavari Ghats and witness the various rituals performed there. Roam around the market where you can get anything like vegetables, dried seafood, lentils and even dried cow dung cakes.
Then you can proceed to Grover Zampa, which is the finest wine producing wineyards where the best sparkling wines are prepared using the ancient methods. Pair yours out of white, red, rose wines with sumptuous food. Return to the train to resume your journey to Aurangabad. Dinner is served onboard.
Aurangabad Ellora Caves
After reaching the industrial town of Maharashtra, Aurangabad this morning, have your breakfast served onboard. Then you will drive to the 5th century architectural marvels at Ellora. This is the star attraction of Aurangabad and a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Ellora is a classic example of Rock-cut temple architecture. Out of the 34 rock cut shrines here, 17 represents Hinduism, 12 for Buddhism and 5 for Jainism. The most significant of all is the Kailash temple which is believed to be the replica of the Lord Shiva’s abode at Mt.Kailash. After enjoying the architectural wonders, return to train for lunch. The schedule for your evening wil be attending the folk performance called Lavanya Sandhya, Seeking the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi in the 1300 years old temple and enjoying the traditional martial arts performance Mardani Khel. Return to train for dinner onboard and resume your journey to India’s party capital, Goa.
Goa
Enter the most happening state in India, Goa while you take your breakfast. Disembark to go around the wonderful places. Proceed to the Fontainhas, which has the reminiscent of the Portuguese culture and go for UNESCO recognized world Heritage walk around Fontainhas. Then you can leave for Ribandar, where you can walk through the ancient churches and the ruins of the St.Augustine tower.
