Detailed Itineary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at Cochin

    On arrival at Cochin airport you’ll be met and assisted with the transfer to your hotel in historic Fort Cochin. The rest of the day will be free for you to explore the area around your hotel a district of markets, fantastic old buildings and great restaurants. Overnight in Fort Cochin.

  • Day 2 : Fort Cochin

    Your morning sightseeing tour will include many of the diverse elements which contribute to make up modern - day Cochin. As a major trading port for over 500 years there have been many influences on the city including those of Arab and Chinese traders and European powers whose focus was not only on trade but on dominance. The Chinese Fishing Nets are a indelible symbol of Cochin, while other cultures have left their mark in the form of churches, a palace (built by the Portuguese but universally known as the Dutch Palace) and India’s oldest synagogue. In the afternoon you will be able to take a cruise on Cochin harbour, and in the evening attend a performance of traditional dance / drama - Kathakali. Overnight in Fort Cochin.

  • Day 3 : Marari Beach

    After breakfast drive 90 minutes to Alleppey and the Marari coastline, one of the most beautiful beaches in India. Check in at your resort here and spend the rest of the day enjoying the facilities of the resort and the warm azure waters of the Arabian Sea. Overnight at Marari Beach.

  • Day 4 : Marari Beach

    Full day at the resort for serious relaxation on the beach, by the pool or at the in-house Ayurvedic massage centre. Overnight at Marari Beach.

  • Day 5 : Alleppey

    After breakfast drive a short distance to the houseboat jetty and board a private houseboat for a lunch cruise on the famous Kerala backwaters. This extensive networks of canals and rivers is one of the most famous of all Kerala’s attractions for visitors. Spend a few hours cruising the backwaters and enjoy lunch on board. In the late afternoon, disembark the boat at Emerald Isle or a similar backwater homestay and enjoy the unique cuisine and famous hospitality of Kerala in a sumptuous setting.   • Day 6 : Alleppey

    A full day around your backwater retreat; you can walk, ride a bike, take a local ferry, watch a cooking demonstration, join a local fisherman for a canoe ride through the myriad small channels of the backwaters or simply relax in the tranquillity of your accommodation. Overnight near Alleppey

  • Day 7 : Alleppey - Cochin Departure

    Post breakfast, start your drive from Alleppey to Cochin airport for your connecting flight.
