This tour covers both the famous and ever-popular Golden Triangle with time in the important pilgrimage towns of Haridwar and Rishikesh as well.

The Golden Triangle of India comprises three iconic cities, Delhi, Agra and Jaipur each home to iconic monuments and palaces, and the birthplaces of much of the rich heritage of the northern part of the country. After time in these cities this itinerary will take you to visit two of the most spiritually significant places on the upper Ganges, Haridwar and Rishikesh.


Detailed Itineary

  • Day 1 : Delhi

    You’ll be met on arrival and assisted with the transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 2 : Delhi

    Begin your tour with a day around the nation’s capital on a sightseeing tour taking in many of the highlights of Old and New Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 3 : Delhi – Agra

    Morning walking or cycle-rickshaw tour in Old Delhi, before driving 4 hours or so to Agra. Begin your time in Agra with sightseeing of Agra Fort. Overnight in Agra.

  • Day 4 : Agra – Jaipur

    Avoid the worst of the crowds at the Taj by beginning the day on a countryside bicycle (or e-bike tour) close to the Taj but far, far from the crowds which gather there in the early morning. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then conclude your time in Agra by visiting the Taj from mid-morning. Depart and drive first to Fatehpur Sikri, then continue on to Jaipur. Overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 5 : Jaipur

    Full day of sightseeing around Jaipur including the City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory and Amer Fort. Ensure you allow plenty of time too for exploring the markets of the old, walled city. Overnight in Jaipur.

  • Day 6 : Jaipur – Delhi- Dehra Dun- Rishikesh

    Morning walking tour to explore some of the hidden treasures- havelis and temples- of Jaipur’s oldest neighbourhoods. Later transfer to Jaipur airport and fly to Dehra Dun. You’ll be met on arrival in Dehra Dun and introduced to your next driver. Depart immediately and drive one hour to Rishikesh. Overnight in Rishikesh.

  • Day 7 : Rishikesh

    Full day around Rishikesh for sightseeing, or a scenic drive up the Ganges. Overnight in Rishikesh tour.

  • Day 8 : Rishikesh- Haridwar

    Drive the short distance down the river to Haridwar, an important pilgrimage town, in its own way just as significant a place as Varanasi in the spiritual life of Hindu people from this part of India. Tour the sights of Haridwar in the afternoon, and at dusk head to the ghats along the river’s edge to watch the nightly Aarti ceremony. Overnight in Haridwar.

  • Day 9 : Haridwar –Dehra Dun- Delhi

    Day around Haridwar with mid-afternoon transfer back to Dehra Dun for a flight to Delhi. Overnight in Delhi.

  • Day 10 : Delhi

    Depending on your flight schedule you may have time for a little more sightseeing today. When the time comes to depart, you’ll be assisted with the transfer to Delhi airport for your flight home.
