Within these forests thrive 112 plant families, encompassing 44 genera and a total of 820 species. You will be delighted by the sight of beautiful and diverse orchids which enhance the beauty of the ambiance, the forest is home to three species of wild roses, sixteen species of feras and bryophytes, and algae.
A popular attraction of Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is the Bamboo forests which are found in the south-western part of the wildlife sanctuary. Apart from flora, this sanctuary is home to rarest and most endangered species of hyenas and jackals and other wildlife like Indian Leopard, sloth bear, Sambar deer, wild boar and chinkara common langur, wild boar, common mongoose, Indian hare, hedgehog, and Indian fox and over 250 species of birds that call it home.
