The story of Indian Panorama began 25 years ago, when Faith, a New Zealander on a backpacking journey, visited India for the first time and fell in love with it. She settled in South India, and the company she formed was first focused on escorted group excursions. Pandian soon became involved, and the foundation for the company we know today began to emerge in the late 1990s and early 2000s. We currently specialize in assisted, independent travel, and our organization has constantly expanded.
It's difficult to imagine how tours were organized in the early days when mobile phones didn't exist, and the internet was extremely unstable! From humble beginnings, the company's reputation for providing exceptional service and setting new standards extended throughout South India, the country, and to clients all over the world.
Even though the company has grown significantly, the standards it established in its early days—each customer being unique, nothing being too difficult, and meticulous attention to detail—are still at the heart of what we do. Because of the odd Western/Indian blend that anchored the company's foundation, we remain unique in our understanding of both India's appeal to our international guests and the on-the-ground realities of how things work in this country.
