This tour will take you through the beautiful valleys of Paro, Thimphu and Punakha, which are considered the most historic districts of the country.
You will visit many monasteries and fortresses which hold glorious history and are the foundation of the unique culture and tradition of the country. Some of the highlights would be the visit to a monastery which was built in the 7th century, the fortress which houses the King’s office and the stunning Tiger’s Nest. You will also visit various museums and cultural centers which will enable you to learn more about this beautiful country.

Day 1 : Arrivel Paro to Paro - Drive to Thimphu
Once you arrive at Paro International Airport, your tour manager will receive you and escort you to Thimphu. Thimphu is the capital of Bhutan which is about 1h 15 minutes drive from Paro. On the way you will be able to see the scenic views of the mountains, rivers and valleys.
On Arrival at Thimphu proceed to Simply Bhutan Museum from where you will aquire a general idea of the history, culture and tradition of the country. The next site visit will be the Buddha Point where you will find one of the biggest statues of the Buddha in the world followed by a visit to the Tashichho Dzong which houses the office of the King.
Overnight stay at Thimphu (altitude 2,320m). -
Day 2 : Thimphu Day Tour and drive to Punakha
After breakfast you will be lead to the National Library which housing an extensive collection of priceless Buddhist manuscripts followed by the Institute for Zorig Chusum where the 13 traditional arts and crafts are taught. Later visit the Textile Museum which gives closure to Bhutan’s one of the most distinct art form. After lunch visit the Memorial Chorten which is an important land mark in the city.
Then drive to Punakha through the Dochu-la pass (altitude 3,088m) from where with a favorable weather you will be able to see the highest peak in the country Gangkar Puensum (7,493m). At the pass you will also see 108 stupas and Druk Wangyel Lhakhang.
Punakha is at an altitude of 1300m above the sea level; blessed with a temperate climate until 1955 Punakha served as the capital of Bhutan and still today serves as the winter residence of the monk body.

Day 3 : Punakha/ Wangduephodrang and Drive to Paro
In the morning visit Punakha Dzong (Palace of Great Happiness) which served as both the religious and the administrative centre of the country in the past. It is also considered one of the most beautiful Dzongs in Bhutan. Later hike to Chimi Lhakhang also known as the fertility temple. After lunch, drive back to Paro, on the way visit Simtokha Dzong which is First Dzong built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.

Day 4 : Paro Day Tour
After breakfast hike to Taktshang Monastery also known as the Tiger’s Nest. It is one of the most famous and sacred monasteries in the country. After lunch visit Ta Dzong which is the National Museum followed by Paro Rinpung Dzong.
Toward the evening visit Kyichu Lhakhang which was built in the 7th century. It is one of the First Buddhist temples built in country.

Day 5 : Departure
After breakfast your tour manager will escort you to the airport and bid you farewell.
